Abstract:
The Janka hardness of Moso bamboo in different ages and at the bottom, middle and top part of culm was tested and analysed in this paper.The results showed that the hardness value had little difference among the different eight ages except for the one yearold bamboo. The maximum value of hardness is in the tenyear old. The hardness value increased from the bottom to the top of culm obviously and this trend had nothing to do with ages.
